Day 1  Arrival in Tehran meet with Overland Travel Private Guide and transfer to the hotel.

The arrival is usually at dawn. After passing the corresponding procedures at the airport and picking up our luggage, a private vehicle will transfer us to the accommodation in Tehran, where we can sleep the rest of the night. In the event that our flight lands earlier, we can take a walk and have dinner in Tehran.

 

Day 2 Tehran - Polour - Camp 1 (3200 m.)

Overland Travel guide and private vehicle transfer to the town of Polour, where the ascent permits are validated. After carrying out the corresponding procedures, a vehicle will transfer our luggage along a track to the camp located at about 3,200 meters high, so we will only have to carry a light backpack during the day. The overnight stay will be in tents.

Ascent: 516 meters.

Descent: 516 meters.

Duration: 5 hours.

Day 3 Acclimatization day.

We dedicate the day to improving our adaptation to altitude, so we will ascend to camp 2, at 4200 meters high. After spending a while there, we will take the descent path again to spend the night in our already known Camp 1.

Day 4 Ascent to Camp 2 (4200 m.)

We go back up to Camp 2, which helps us complete our acclimatization process. This time we will sleep in the tents located there. We will take advantage of the afternoon to rest and prepare for the ascent to the summit, scheduled for a few hours later.

Day 5 Damavand Ascension (5671 m.) - Camp 1 (3200 m.)

We will leave for the top of Damavand after having an early breakfast, around three in the morning. The climb to the summit will take us about seven hours, following a calm and continuous rhythm. Once the objective is reached, and after enjoying the impressive panorama that can be seen from the highest point of the crater, we descend to Camp 1.

• Descent: 2471 meters.

 

Day 6 Camp 1 - Polour (3200 m.) - Tehran

On the way down to the town of Polour, you can stop to rest and take a bath next to some hot springs. At the end of the tour, a vehicle will transfer you back to your accommodation in Tehran.

• Descent: 143 meters.

• Duration: 4 - 5 hours

 

Day 7 Tehran

We will dedicate the day to visit the capital of Iran and its main areas of interest. It is one of the most important places in the Islamic world. A historic city, which already existed as a town since the 9th century and was destroyed by the Mongol Empire in the 13th century. Later it would become the most important urban center in Persia. Its charm does not lie only in its majestic buildings, but in its own personality. We will also find fabulous gardens and the best museums in the country.

 

Meals included: Breakfast.

 

Day 8 Transfer to the airport and flight back

At the corresponding time, a vehicle will transfer us to the airport to take the flight back home.
